Job Description

At Visual Concepts, we are looking for an experienced gameplay animator to join our team and work on the next installment of the WWE2K franchise. The role involves creating engaging gameplay, facial, and cinematic animations.

• Create gameplay and facial animations using motion capture data and keyframe animation
• Animate characters, cameras, and props for gameplay and cut scenes to deliver impactful moments
• Collaborate closely with designers to ensure clarity, performance, and responsiveness in the game
• Work with technical artists and engineers to ensure the visuals in-game are of high quality
• Collaborate with the animation team to ensure consistency and share creative inspiration
• Implement and fine-tune animations in the proprietary animation system

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an animator in the games industry
• Portfolio showcasing character animations (keyframe, motion capture, or both)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with designers and animators
• Strong ability to take feedback and direction
• Self-motivated and adept at creative problem-solving
• Must possess current U.S. work authorization
• Passionate about video games

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience editing motion capture animation data
• Experience with character combat animation and gameplay (e.g., wrestling, fighting, action RPG)
• Proficiency in using Motionbuilder and Maya
